Newcastle Bush Warm-up / Come And Try It - Eleebana
First event of the bush season. Newcomers wanting to come and try orienteering are welcome!

DATE: Sunday 30 March 2025
STARTS: 9:30am to 11:30am. COURSE CLOSURE: 1:00pm

DIRECTIONS: From Wyndham Way, Eleebana, turn southeast into Ridgewood Crescent and follow to it the end.

PARKING: Ridgewood Crescent Eleebana and surrounding streets. When parking please be considerate of people’s driveways and make sure cars can get past.

ASSEMBLY: Assembly is in the reserve at the end of Ridgewood Crescent, Eleebana.

NOTES:
Courses are line course orienteering. The area is undulating spur gully bush. The map is green however the bush is generally runnable. Courses have been set to avoid the worse green areas. There is an extensive track network and these have been mapped as best as possible.
Due to the number of tracks the VERY EASY may not have a control located on all track junctions where a decision is required. They have been placed to guide the runner in the correct location.
Due to the limited course setting area available most courses will have track options to get to controls with some able to be done in a direct line through the bush to try and let competitors try some more challenging route options.

SPECIAL MAP SYMBOLS: Green cross = tree root mound >1.5m. Black cross = wreckage.

RESTRICTIONS: Dogs, smoking and fires are prohibited from ALL parking, assembly and competition areas.
