VENUE: Boomerang Park, Raymond Terrace

DURATION:​ The duration of the event will depend upon the number of competitors. Typically, the event will begin with a safety briefing at 10 am and conclude by 2:30 pm.

COST:​ $12 per competitor. This entry fee does NOT include transport to or from the venue. ​The entry fee does cover maps, etc.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The event is open to school aged students. All individuals/teams complete TWO courses.
1. Age Division Line Course (straight line distance of 1.4 km to 3.8 km from start to finish),
2. Open Score Course (30 minute time limit to find as many controls as you can).

NOTE: Elapsed time will be calculated using SPORTIDENT TIMING. Students who possess an SI stick should bring it to the event. Other students will be loaned an SI timing stick for the day.

EVENT ENTRY:
- Each individual student participating in the event must complete an event entry.

COURSE SELECTION:
- Individuals and teams must indicate their preferred AGE and SCORE courses using Eventor, or the Course Selection Form. See the attached 2026 Hunter Schools Orienteering Information and Course Selection document for course details.

- Orienteering Club members can enter their chosen Line Course and pay the $12 entry fee here on Eventor (note you must also enter your chosen Score Course in the separate SCORE COURSE event listing on Eventor).

- Secondary students from Government schools must enter and pay the $12 entry fee using the DASH platform. Other students please contact Geoff Todkill (printing@newcastleorienteering.asn.au) to arrange event entry.

ALL STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A HSSA CONSENT FORM. See attached.

The absolute latest date to receive entries is TUESDAY 11th AUGUST 2026.
