1st and 1st at rogaine as suspect SQL injection attack is defeated

Gill Fowler and running buddy Jess Baker took out the 12 hour category of the Mill Creek rogaine whis weekend, while fellow Feet Mike Burton and Brooner got up for their first win in the 6 hours after a somewhat disappointing result in their previous outing. Simon George and Jayne Sayles placed 3rd in the mixed and 4th overall.

The tail end of an East coast low make the weather "interesting", and one team was out overnight sheltering while lost.

Sweden's Idre O-week - Big Foot suspected

Idre O-week in Sweden sends a special invitation to Australian orienteers to come on over. Detailed forensic investigation of one of the areas reveals that one of us may have been there before.

If you want to get over there in June, here is the link.

RouteGadget - Make your own movie

One of the really neat features about the new RouteGadget is that you can easily share an animation of a race. After picking out the runners that you want to show, and maybe fiddling with the speed, you can click the AnimLink button to get a url to the exact animation you've set up. Then you can share the link with your mates, your coach, your parents etc.

The link's can be customised further to display exactly what you want - Jagge says:

About the AnimLink feature. You can customize it a bit with URL parameters.

Results for Pymble Hill SSS

Thanks for coming - many thanks to those who pre-entered. With the organiser/planner unavailable and only two Big Feet able to get there before the hordes, pre-entry helps us immensely. Credit to the courses to Michael Burton, when you see him. The map corrections were to avoid running through bush care areas.

Results are here, with splits.

Sydney Olympic Park sprint-O - results available

Finally:

We've go Attackpoint,we've got  RouteGadget, we've got plain old plain flavour , we've got ordered by LottyClass we've even got ranking points.

Apologies to those who were dq'd and didn't find out about it until now. A couple didn't clear. Someone didn't punch the start. For some the first was the last. A few people seemed to have skipped a control, a few people must have illegally reached over at #10  - the AttackPoint splits show the story.

A complaint was received about the actions of several competitors who gained advantage, whether deliberately or not, by crossing or reaching over out of bounds. The organiser has chosen to take no further action, but competitors are asked to learn and obey the rules of sprint orienteering before attending future sprint discipline races. Anybody who wants to disqualify themselves, feel free to dob yourself in, the official results in Eventor will be updated, but other results (RouteGadget, AttackPoint etc) will be left as they are.

RouteGadget Reminder

A quick reminder that RouteGadget is still around and is provided for nearly all Big Foot events, including this weekend's Sprint-O.

If you haven't seen the new features yet, some of them are featured here:
