Big Foot retained the Division 1 Metro League title with a match in hand, rounding off with a second win over Garingal at Mulgoa. They even had a token under-50 or two make appearances during the year.
Tough courses with plenty of climb, rock and sticks didn't deter the Div 4 team either who went on to complete a clean-sweep by winning their grand final.
Club captain Miles Ellis skipped the event having already left selection details for the winning teams. Nice work again Miles.

Thanks to Blacktown Council for giving us access for today's event.
The rankings commissioners will be examining how a pot-hunting Bart Vonhoff grabbed so many points on Div 4.

Aoife Rothery grabbed first place in the Australian W12A Sprint Championships this weekend to match the first place that clubmate Lyra Simpson collected last week in the corresponding New Zealand event. They also both managed to bag 3rd place in the corresponding middle distance events.
Fans of W12A orienteering racing may be disappointed as both the girls seem to have switched to run W14A in the immediate future.

Fifteen Big Feet travelled to Oamaru to tackle the New Zeland Championships over the Easter weekend.
The terrain didn't disappoint, only the relay was on an area that had been used before.
The sprint was around the well preserved town of Oamaru - wins to Lyra Simpson in W12, Nea Shingler (W14), Tracy Bluett (W40A) and Greg Barbour with a 3rd place to Paula Shingler (in the Easter egg hunt affected W50A) set the tone for much of the week with Tracy, Lyra, Nea, Greg and Paula all going on to pick up further places.

Thanks to Alistair George for planning and organising a great event. The turn out was a little larger than anticipated - apologies to those who had to use a recycled map or missed out on their choice of course. All the results are here:
