Big Foot Sprints V - Darks Common

Big Foot Sprints V was held at Darks Common, Lapstone. As is traditional, the top end of the field saw a very tight contest with victory in the men's race going to Robbie Preston over Jumping Jock Davis. In the women's race, Cathy Liggins, a three-time winner of this event was almost knocked off her perch by Mel Thomas, but came through in the second leg. Pre-race hopeful Tracy Bluett was at the start but couldn't run, another victim of the hoodoo which has haunted Bennelong runners at this race.

The rest of the field was fairly close, with everyone finishing with plenty of time to make it back to their Mothers Day lunch. Or at least tea. Well supper then.
