Pink, pink, pink for Oceania

Podium at Oceania 2011Pink and pink at the Oceania Long championships as Greg Barbour (running for New Zealand) won M45A, helping New Zealand to a comfortable win in that class.

Meanwhile, back in W40A, former W40 world champion Cath Chalmers led home a very strong field to win for Australia.

In W14A, Rebecca George cruised to 3rd place but suffered at the hands of the rough terrain and bashed her knee. Although the egg-sized bump has gone from hen egg to frog egg size by Sunday it looked as though she would be reduced to a walk in the woods today.

On today's much touted area, being used for the middle distance race, dense with mining terrain, many of the Big Feet stepped up to run elites, leaving Paul Marsh (3rd M40A) and Andy Simpson (1st M45A) free to obliterate their memories of a poor Saturday run.
