Lane Cove Festival and Saturday Orienteering Series - Lane Cove West

This week Bold Horizons is teaming up with local club Garingal Orienteers for a Lane Cove Festival event at Lane Cove West. A range of riverside courses will be available so everyone—newcomers, families, and experienced orienteers alike—can enjoy Spring sunshine, fresh air, and the scenic trails together.

Entry via this platform (Eventor) closes at midnight the evening before the event. Entry via the Bold Horizons website (https://www.boldhorizons.com.au/event-calendar/) can be made right through until event day.

Ready to explore Sydney’s parks and urban bushland in a whole new way?

Whether you’re a confident navigator or just curious about giving orienteering a go, the Saturday Orienteering Series is your weekly chance to get outdoors, discover hidden pockets of nature, and build your skills one map at a time.

How you take part is entirely up to you:

Head out solo and enjoy the challenge of finding the cleanest, smartest route
Team up with friends for a shared adventure
Or wander the course with family and make it a relaxed weekend outing
New to orienteering? Perfect. Each event includes clear maps, beginner‑friendly courses, and friendly guidance to help you get started. Just arrive in comfortable activewear and bring a sense of curiosity.

Saturdays become fresh air, gentle (or fast) exploration, and the fun of navigating through parks, reserves, and pockets of urban bushland you may never have noticed before.

Come along, get moving, and discover something new.
