Nillumbik Emus is proud to bring you Victorian Long Champs at Metcalfe. This is a fantastic area and deserves to be explored by as many people as possible in its first outing.

From Melbourne take the Calder freeway to Kyneton watch out for potholes! Leave the Calder at second Kyneton exit in direction of Redesdale C326. Take the C326 north for a short distance and turn left onto Saleyards Rd. After 1km, turn left into Kyneton-Metcalfe Road (you must turn left twice, and the second one is easy to miss. After 15 km, shortly before reaching Metcalfe turn right onto Goldfields Rd (O sign). Follow Goldfield’s Rd to parking.
Important do not use Goldfields Rd from the South, from a traffic management safety perspective. After the event you may exit on Goldfields Rd in either direction.

From Ballarat, travel via Daylesford to Malmsbury. Cross the Calder Freeway, turn left onto Kyneton–Metcalfe Road, then after 8.7 km turn left onto Goldfields Road at the orienteering sign. Follow the directions above.

From Bendigo Google maps suggest 2 routes. The shorter route through Sutton Grange or the Calder Hwy. As for the route from Ballarat turn onto the Kyneton - Metcalfe Road and turn left onto Goldfields Road (O sign) after 8.7 km and follow directions above.
