Duo Adventure Race

Date:
Saturday, February 11, 2012

What's a DuO race ?

The Duo Adventure Race at the Western Sydney Regional Park involves a number of short mountain bike and foot orienteering legs around the park. Competitors are given a map of the park with control locations which they visit as directed in the course instructions. There will be a long course of aprox 90 min duration and a short course of aprox 60 min duration. The courses cater for all levels of competitors and you can take your time or go as fast as you like.

Bloodbath on the SLWC

This is what the weekend's training event did to our President. He faired out better than event organiser Andy Hill - who fell and needed hand surgery on the day. Just as he was getting back into full training and sprint victories after his ankle injury in the 2010 Big Foot Sprints. Four Big Feet started the "Super Long World Champs" with the first challenge being to fit the 1:10 000 map into a map bag. Mounty was the only participant to finish all 200 controls and all 56 kilometres.
