With reigning champ Carol O. unavailable to for selection, Greg Barbour, her former partner in victory, had to play solo amongst a quality field on this New Year's Day spectacular.
Despite a great performance by Greg, he ended a little too far behind the leaders on the last hole, where the Paula Shingler/Wiz pair took a shot lead into the hole but were stymied by a birdie from the Mark Shingler/Andy Simpson pair. Nelly Prosser and Simon George tapped out in par to take 3rd place, but the two Shingler teams had to go to a play-off hole to settle the title.
Live results should also be available on the LiveOL app
Top class event (with Waratahs) planned by Paul and Tracy Marsh, the heat was unpleasant but most people coped OK. Thanks for coming. Congratulations to the Metro League winners.

Paula Shingler brought home the mug (or whatever they give out these days) in today's 48th Great Northside Orienteers and Social Harriers (NOSH) Footrace, with a 13 minute margin in the Women's 60 plus age category for the 16km race.
Paula is making the most of her new age group, having just turned 60 in May. She also won the W60's at the Australian 3-days, held in the Snowy Monaro over Easter. She had the only Big Feet that took out an Easter 3-days win.
